Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

This policy explains how the York South Limited website (yorksouth.co.uk) uses cookies and similar technologies, in line with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. It should be read alongside our privacy policy.

The short version

Our website does not use cookies to track you, profile you or show you adverts. We don’t use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, work in the same way. Some are essential for a site to work or stay secure. Others are used for things like measuring visits or advertising, and those need your consent.

What we store on your device

Nothing. Our website doesn’t set any cookies of its own, and doesn’t store anything in your browser’s local storage.

Third-party services on our website

Some parts of our website are provided by other companies. When you use them, they may set strictly necessary cookies or collect technical information, such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies:

• Cloudflare, our website host, protects the site against attacks and abuse. It may set strictly necessary security cookies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that contact form submissions come from a person rather than a spam bot. It runs only on our contact page and doesn’t use the information for advertising. See the Turnstile privacy addendum.
• OpenStreetMap provides the map on our contact page. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy.

We link to other websites, including Facebook, Google, Tripadvisor and UK Campsite, for our reviews and drone video. These are links, not embedded content, so those sites can’t set cookies through our website. Once you follow a link, the other site’s own cookie policy applies.

Managing cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies set by our third-party services may stop parts of the site, such as the contact form, from working. The ICO has guidance on how to manage cookies.

Changes to this policy

If we start using cookies that need your consent, such as analytics, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before setting them.
